Brewtools B40pro brewing system – 40 litre boil volume and 9 kg of malt
The Brewtools B40pro is a brewing system designed in Norway, with a 40 litre boil volume and approx. 9 kg grain capacity. It has a powerful pump that is adjusted steplessly via the touch screen. The wort is recirculated by pumping it up through a tube in the centre of the kettle. The pump is attached with sanitary fittings and is easy to remove for cleaning.
Note: The B40pro is a discontinued model at Brewtools and has been replaced by the new series of B25, B50, B100 and B180. See the Brewtools B25 and Brewtools B50.
Features
- The malt pipe has hooks that fold out when lifting, so you can lift it with both hands.
- Sparging is done without pipes and hoses outside the kettle. A tube fitted over the centre tube follows the malt basket up and lifts the spreader cap at the same time, so you can sparge from an external water tank.
- No need to turn the kettle upside down for cleaning. The centre tube can be removed, and the kettle is easily cleaned with a brush or sponge. Everything drains into a bucket or straight into the floor drain.
- Two digital temperature sensors, one in the bottom and one in the pump circuit. Max static deviation is ±0.5 °C and resolution 0.1 °C. The sensors can be calibrated individually. A third sensor can be connected to monitor the return wort after chilling.
- Heating elements totalling 3.2 kW (230 V) give fast heating. During the boil, PID control is disabled and you adjust the heating power steplessly for full control of the boil.
- Max power can be set to 10 A, 13 A or 16 A, so it never exceeds the circuit fuse.
- All outlets are 34 mm TC fittings. A 3-way valve on the right side is used for recirculation and draining, and a 3-way valve at the bottom for the pump circuit and emptying or chilling.
- All hoses are food-grade 16 × 25 mm silicone hoses.
