Place your order for the malt types in full 100g increments (choose whole or crushed), and write in the comment field when you check out, for example: "Malt blend: 5.4kg pale ale malt, 270g Cara Blond..etc."
Carafa Special Type 2 - Weyermann
Carafa Special is chocolate malt that is dehusked before malting and roasting. This reduces astringency and bitterness, while giving the beer a coffee-brown color, coffee-like bouquet, dark aroma, and increased body and mouthfeel. Notes of toffee, cocoa, and dark chocolate. Typically used in 1-5% of the malt bill.
