The heat comes from Pepper X, the world's hottest chili, developed by Smokin’ Ed Currie at PuckerButt Pepper Company. At over 2.6 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU) it is considerably hotter than the Carolina Reaper, and it is used exclusively in PuckerButt's own products.
