Grainfather Electric Grain Mill – electric grain mill with base
The Grainfather Electric Grain Mill is a motorised, compact grain mill with speed control. Its heavy, hardened stainless steel rollers give a good crush. Large-diameter rollers and a hopper shaped like those on commercial mills let it crack the husk lengthways while keeping most of the husk intact, without over-crushing the grain.
The roller gap adjusts easily across 10 settings from 0.8 to 2 mm. The mill comes complete with a base.

How fast does it mill?
Up to 1.7 kg of malt per minute. The hopper holds 1 kg.
How fine should the malt be milled?
It depends on your equipment. BIAB handles a finer crush, while a Speidel Braumeister, for example, needs a considerably coarser one. With 10 settings from 0.8 to 2 mm you can find the right crush.
Why have your own grain mill?
Once malt is milled it starts to oxidise and lose flavour and aroma. With your own mill you crush the malt right before brewing and control the crush yourself.
