Features of the Grainfather G30v3

The Grainfather is electrically powered and designed for indoor use. It is equipped with a controlled heating element, which ensures that the correct power is used during different stages of the brewing process. Lower power is used at certain stages for accurate temperature control and to minimize the risk of scorching. During stages that require more powerful heating, it can take as little as 20 minutes to reach boiling point.

Control Box

For the ultimate brewing experience, use the Connect Control Box in conjunction with the Grainfather Community app. The control box has Bluetooth connectivity, allowing your mobile device to be used to remotely control the unit. Pump

A 6 Watt, 1800 RPM magnetic-drive, brushless pump is fitted to recirculate the wort through the malt for maximum yield during mashing. This is also used during the chilling stage to pump hot wort through the counter-flow chiller. The pump also makes the cleaning process quick and easy by pumping the cleaning solution through the system. The pump is protected by a stainless pump cover, which is easy to open and provides direct access for cleaning. A pump filter is fitted inside the Grainfather to prevent hops and grain from entering the pump, while also preventing blockages.

Malt Pipe

The new, perforated stainless steel malt pipe allows you to brew with anything from 1.5 – 8 kg of malt, or up to 9kg with the use of a top plate. When it's time for sparging, a lifting handle is inserted into the malt pipe to lift it out of the wort. A 45-degree turn then allows the malt pipe's legs to rest on the specially designed support ring to let the malt pipe drain while you sparge over the top. A sparge water heater can be purchased separately to heat the water to the specific temperature required for the sparging process.
