Frequently asked questions about the G30 perforated malt basket
Does the basket fit my older Grainfather G30?
Yes. It is standard on the G30v3, but is sold as an upgrade for earlier versions of the G30.
How much grain does the basket hold?
Up to 8 kg, or 9 kg with a separate top plate. It is still wise not to fill it completely, as too much grain gives poorer recirculation and poorer sparging.
Do I need a top plate?
No. The basket is designed to be used without a top plate and extra pipe. A separate top plate is only needed if you want to go up to 9 kg of grain.
