Description

25L conical fermenter in stainless steel

The Handcraft Supplies 25 litre conical fermenter is a solid and reliable choice for fermenting up to 23 litres of beer, wine and cider. It is made from 304 stainless steel and is a clear upgrade from plastic, with consistent quality in every batch. It holds a 20 litre Fresh Wort Kit.

Features

  • Robust 304 stainless steel construction: durable, easier to clean and sanitize, less risk of off-flavours and a long service life.
  • Tight silicone seal: the steel walls and the airtight silicone lid gasket reduce the risk of oxidation and keep unwanted microbes out.
  • Conical bottom: collects the sediment so the beer has less contact with the yeast cake, reducing the risk of off-flavours from yeast autolysis.
  • Rotating dip tube with ball valve: makes it easy to transfer to bottles or kegs without a siphon.
  • Accessories: supplied complete with airlock, bung and thermometer strip.

Temperature control

For temperature control we recommend a Fercubator with one extension module. That gives you full control during both fermentation and any cold crash.

Dimensions

  • Height to the top: 52 cm, without airlock
  • Width: 42 cm, including handles
  • Depth: 40 cm, including tap

Frequently asked questions about the Handcraft Supplies 25L conical fermenter

How much can I ferment in it?

The fermenter is made for up to 23 litres of beer, wine or cider, and holds a 20 litre Fresh Wort Kit with room for the krausen during fermentation.

How do I transfer from the fermenter?

The rotating dip tube with ball valve lets you draw above the sediment and straight into bottles or kegs, without a siphon.

Why a conical bottom?

The sediment collects in the cone, so the beer has less contact with the yeast cake and you get clearer beer.

How do I keep the right temperature?

Place the fermenter in a Fercubator with one extension module. That lets you control the temperature during fermentation and cold crash afterwards.
