HERMS Coil Small – heat exchanger for a steady mash temperature
HERMS coil (Heat Exchange Recirculating Mash System) from Blichmann Engineering, made from 304 stainless steel. The coil is installed in the hot liquor tank. Wort from the mash tun is pumped through the coil and back to the mash, so the mash holds a steady temperature without being heated directly. The small model fits kettles up to 10 gallons (38 litres).
The coil comes complete with weldless bulkheads for easy installation and 1/2" QuickConnector elbows.

What is HERMS?

Do I need to weld to install the coil?

Which size should I choose?
Small fits kettles up to 10 gallons (38 litres). For larger kettles, the HERMS Coil Large is available.
