Frequently asked questions about the inline thermometer
Where do I fit the thermometer?
Usually on the outlet of the counterflow chiller, so you can see the temperature of the wort going to the fermenter. You can then adjust the cooling water until the wort is at the right temperature for the yeast.
Why is fast chilling important?
After the boil the wort should be chilled quickly. If it stays hot for too long, DMS can form again, giving a flavour of cooked corn or cabbage.
Are the quick disconnects included?
Yes. The thermometer comes fully assembled with stainless steel quick disconnects and thread tape.
