Description
LalBrew Wit 11 g – outlet with best before 09.2026
LalBrew Wit from Lallemand is a relatively neutral ale yeast that can be used for a wide range of wheat beer styles. Compared with traditional hefeweizen strains it produces lower levels of esters and phenols, with a base profile of banana and spice. This leaves room for the spices typical of Belgian witbier.
About the outlet yeast
This is the same yeast as our regular LalBrew Wit 11 g, but with a best before date of 09.2026. Dry yeast stored cool keeps well long past its best before date, and the yeast is just as good after the date.

Frequently asked questions about LalBrew Wit outlet
Can I use the yeast after the best before date?
Yes. Dry yeast stored cool keeps well long past the date. The yeast is the same as in the regular LalBrew Wit pack.
How many packs do I need for 20 litres?
Lallemand recommends 50–100 g per hectolitre. For 20 litres that is 10–20 g, i.e. one to two 11 g packs.
What temperature should it ferment at?
Lallemand specifies 17–25 °C. Keep the temperature stable throughout fermentation.
Does LalBrew Wit give a lot of banana and clove?
It gives a base profile of banana and spice, but lower levels of esters and phenols than traditional hefeweizen yeast. That makes it a good choice when you want to add your own spices.
