The Milwaukee PH56 PRO is a pH meter with an accuracy of ± 0.05 pH, made for quick pH readings when brewing beer. It has automatic 1- or 2-point calibration and ATC (automatic temperature compensation). pH 4.01 and pH 7.01 buffers / calibration solutions are included. The LCD shows both pH and temperature, so you simply dip the probe and read. The PH56 PRO is rated IP67.

Always store the probe in electrolyte solution after use.

How do I calibrate the meter?

The PH56 PRO calibrates automatically at 1 or 2 points. With pH 4.01 and 7.01 you cover the range where mash pH sits. Calibration solution is also available in 230 ml bottles: pH 4.01 and pH 7.01.

Can the probe be replaced?

Yes. The probe is replaceable, and the spare probe is the MI56P.

How should I store the probe?

Always store the probe in electrolyte solution after use, so it does not dry out.

What pH should the mash be?

The ideal mash pH is 5.2–5.6. Measure and adjust with brewing salts or lactic acid.
