Oatwave Pale Ale - Limited Edition Allgrain Beer Kit

A juicy Pale Ale developed as a limited edition all-grain kit for homebrewers who want a pale ale with a bit more body and a smoother mouthfeel than is typical for the style. The beer is fermented with K.9 Ebbegarden Kveik from Norwegian Kveik Yeastery, and the fermentation process only takes 3 days at 35 degrees Celsius.

The malt base consists of pale ale malt, supplemented with oat malt and caramel pils (carapils). The oat malt contributes to a smoother and more rounded mouthfeel, while caramel pils provides increased body and head retention without making the beer heavy. The result is a balanced beer with good structure and a pleasant, rounded body.

The hop profile is built around Simcoe and Mosaic, two classic American aroma hops that together give a fresh and fruity expression. Here you will find notes of citrus, tropical fruit, and a light hint of pine, which balances nicely with the malt profile.

This is an easy-drinking and aromatic beer where malt and hops play well together. The oat malt provides an extra dimension in the mouthfeel that makes the beer both balanced and pleasant to drink.

PS! Due to the amount of oats, we recommend adding rice hulls during mashing to improve filtration and avoid a stuck mash.
