PET fermenter 23 L – clear carboy for storage and ageing
A fermenter, or carboy, made of food-grade PET plastic. It is transparent and lets in very little oxygen, which makes it well suited to long-term storage and ageing, for example of sour beer, wine and cider. You can see how fermentation and clearing are progressing at all times.
PET does not tolerate high temperatures. Do not fill the carboy with liquid or wash it with water hotter than 60 °C.

Can the carboy handle hot water?
The maximum temperature is 60 °C. Hotter water can damage the PET, so use lukewarm water and a cleaner that works at lower temperatures.
What is the carboy used for?
For fermentation and especially for long-term storage and ageing, for example of sour beer, wine and cider. PET lets in little oxygen, so the risk of oxidation is low.
How much does it hold?
The volume is 23.3 litres. Leave some headspace if you use it for primary fermentation.
