24 liters is the optimal size in terms of price per liter, manageability, and from a sales perspective, a cheaper market price than 30L kegs. With the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority's recommended maximum lifting weight of 25kg, the 24L keg is much easier for bar staff to move than a 30L keg.

PolyKeg® BIK System and integrated dip tube for less foam

BIK (Bag In Keg), unique and exclusive to PolyKeg®, is available with all 6 types of valves and has the following features:

• Bag with internal dip tube guarantees a smooth flow during filling and ensures complete and correct dispensing, while avoiding excessive foam. This benefits all parties, as you can sell 1-2 liters more beer per keg.
• The bag undergoes a special rinsing and pressure treatment that guarantees a very low level of residual oxygen and excellent hygienic conditions, making the keg ready to be filled without the need for further treatment or costs for the customer.
• The bag is folded in such a way that it guarantees gradual and progressive opening during filling, avoiding tension and tears in the film.
• The bag is made with a special multi-layer film that guarantees complete protection against O2, CO2 and light, ensuring maximum product protection and increased resistance to breakage and punctures.
• The dip tube and the folded bag make it possible to fill the keg either vertically or upside down, using both manual or automatic filling systems.
• It is also possible to naturally carbonate with sugar in PolyKeg.

Integrated pressure relief valve for optimal safety

The integrated pressure relief valve (PRV), unique and exclusive to PolyKeg®, has two main functions:

• Automatic release of excessive pressure when it exceeds the preset value of 5.5 bar, throughout the keg's life cycle.
  The pressure relief valve closes automatically when the pressure returns to within the preset value.
• An invaluable and unique safety solution in case of secondary fermentation and over-carbonation when the kegs are stored.
• After use, the lever on the pressure relief valve can be easily removed to completely release the pressure in the keg.
  This avoids the use of additional equipment and does not require staff presence during the pressure release phase.

PolyKeg® kegs are available with 6 different valves (A, S, D, G, M and K (KeyKeg compatible)), and are compatible with the most popular filling and dispensing systems.

Thanks to its characteristics, PolyKeg® is the most sustainable disposable keg on the market today, and is designed with an eco-design that has the following features:

• Optimization of the type of material used, and elimination of metal components.
• Easy separation of all components, without the use of electricity, with the aim of maximizing the recycling of the components.

Oxygen-free and ready to fill

PolyKeg®, with or without a bag, does not require internal cleaning and is delivered pre-purged with nitrogen, vacuumed and then pressurized with 0.5 bar CO2 and ready to fill. This results in lower oxygen uptake during filling than with other kegs on the market.
