PolyKeg® BIK System and integrated dip tube for less foam

BIK (Bag In Keg), unique and exclusive to PolyKeg®, is available with all 6 types of valves and has the following features:

• Bag with internal dip tube guarantees an even flow during filling, ensuring complete and correct tapping, while avoiding excessive foam. This benefits all parties, as you can sell 1-2 litres more beer per keg.
• The bag undergoes a special rinsing and pressure treatment that guarantees a very low level of residual oxygen and excellent hygienic conditions, making the keg ready to be filled without the need for additional treatment or costs for the customer.
• The bag is folded in such a way that it guarantees gradual and progressive opening during filling, avoiding tension and damage to the film.
• The bag is made with a special multi-layer film that guarantees complete protection against O2, CO2 and light, ensuring maximum product protection and increased resistance to breakage and punctures.
• The dip tube and folded bag make it possible to fill the keg either vertically or upside down, using both manual or automatic filling systems.
• It is also possible to carbonate naturally with sugar in PolyKeg.

Integrated pressure relief valve for optimal safety

The integrated pressure relief valve (PRV), unique and exclusive to PolyKeg®, has two main functions:

• Automatic release of excessive pressure when it exceeds the preset value of 5.5 bar, throughout the entire life cycle of the keg.
  The pressure relief valve closes automatically when the pressure returns within the preset value.
• After use, the lever on the pressure relief valve can be easily removed to completely release the pressure in the keg.
  This avoids the use of additional equipment and does not require the presence of personnel during the pressure release phase.

NB! The use of Star San or other acid solutions to disinfect the PolyKeg valve may damage the pressure relief valve. Therefore, disinfect with alcohol-based disinfectant.

Compatibility

PolyKeg® kegs are available with 6 different valves (A, S, D, G, M and K (KeyKeg compatible)), and are compatible with the most popular filling and tapping systems.

This makes the transition from all types of kegs - disposable or refillable - to PolyKeg® simple, immediate and without the need for any special investment.

The freedom to choose the type of valve also gives the brewery access to new markets, where the customer requires kegs for a specific type of coupling.

READY TO USE

PolyKeg®, with or without a bag, does not require internal cleaning and is delivered pre-purged with nitrogen, vacuumed and then pressurized with 0.5 bar CO2 and ready to be filled. This results in lower oxygen pickup during filling than with other kegs on the market.
