Propylene glycol 5 L – Glytherm 20 concentrate for glycol chillers
Glytherm 20 is a propylene glycol concentrate for cooling systems, such as glycol chillers that cool fermenters and brewing equipment. The concentrate is mixed with water and protects against freezing down to −19 °C, depending on the mixing ratio. Glytherm 20 contains an inhibitor against rust and algae growth, and its low toxicity makes it especially suitable for food-grade cooling systems. The product is biodegradable.

How much water should I mix it with?
It depends on how cold you need to go. 30% Glytherm 20 protects down to −12 °C, 35% down to −15.5 °C and 40% down to −19 °C.
Why propylene glycol in a glycol chiller?
Propylene glycol has low toxicity and is therefore suitable for food-grade cooling systems. The mixture does not freeze at the low temperatures a glycol chiller works at.
Is Glytherm 20 hazardous to handle?
The mixture is not classified as hazardous under the CLP Regulation. Read the safety data sheet for handling and first aid advice.
