Avoid foam problems with our Quick Fix foam-reducing hose kit
Do you have a kegerator supplied with 5/16" (8 mm) hoses and find that the beer foams a lot when dispensing? Temporarily reducing the pressure is a solution many resort to, but it is far from optimal. It can cause the beer to lose carbonation over time and requires constant pressure adjustment.
The best solution is to replace the wide 5/16" hose with a thinner 3/16" hose (3 mm inner diameter), known as a foam-reducing hose. This significantly reduces foam problems without affecting the carbonation of the beer.
To make this easy for you, we have put together a complete hose kit that includes:
- 1 x DMfit adapter from 5/16" (8 mm) to 3/16".
- 1 x DMfit reducer from 5/16" (8 mm) to 3/16".
- 2 meters of 3/16" LDPE hose – enough to ensure a smooth flow and adapt the system as needed.
Easy installation:
- At the keg coupler: Connect the thin 3/16" hose directly into the existing 5/16" push-fit connection on the ball lock quick disconnect (or 1/4" FFL - 5/16" push-fit) using the 5/16" to 3/16" reducer.
- At the tap tower: Cut the existing 5/16" hose and connect the 3/16" hose with the included adapter from 5/16" to 3/16".
If foam problems still occur, we recommend checking that all connections are tight and that the beer is not over-carbonated.
With this hose kit, you get perfectly dispensed beer without frustration!
