Description
Ringnes Julebokk - All-grain beer kit
In collaboration with Ringnes, we are pleased and honored to launch their very popular Julebokk as an all-grain beer kit for homebrewers. This is a doppelbock with a deep reddish-black color and a complex, vinous aroma with notes of roasted malt, coffee, spices, and dried fruit. The beer is robust with a complex flavor with a lot of malt sweetness that is well balanced by a noticeable bitterness. This is, by the way, the world's first beer kit to come with a 100g pack of dry yeast.
Ringnes Julebokk was launched in 1999 following a law change in 1999 that allowed stronger beers than 7%, and has been brewed every Christmas since.
The beer is suitable for heavier Christmas desserts, chocolate, cigars, and as an after-dinner drink with coffee.
We recommend brewing this beer well in advance of Christmas, so that it has a few months to mature, just like a good wine.
