Spalter Select was bred in Hüll and is a cross between Spalt and Hallertau Mittelfrüh. The hop has a fine aroma with a spicy and floral character, with notes of thyme, apple blossom, wormwood and tart citrus fruits.

Usage
Spalter Select is a classic aroma hop with low alpha acid. It is often used in German lagers, pilsners and other beer styles where a fine, spicy and floral hop aroma should work together with the malt.
