Speidel FD-2.5B 240L – pressure tank for fermentation and maturation up to 2.5 bar
The Speidel FD-2.5B 240L is a stainless steel pressure tank for fermenting and maturing larger volumes of beer, rated for working pressures up to 2.5 bar. The double cooling jacket on the tank cylinder lets you ferment and mature bottom-fermented beer outside a cold room. The tank comes complete with valves, a spunding valve and a thermometer. It is made to order and shipped directly from the manufacturer, with price on request.

Frequently asked questions about the Speidel FD-2.5B 240L
What is the difference between the Speidel FD-2.5B and FD-1.2B?
The equipment is the same, but the FD-2.5B is built for working pressures up to 2.5 bar, while the FD-1.2B is built for up to 1.2 bar. A higher permitted pressure gives you more headroom when spunding and retaining more CO2 in the beer.
Do I need a cold room to use the tank?
No. The double cooling jacket is designed for fermenting and maturing bottom-fermented beer outside a cold room. The jacket connects to your cooling system via the two G1" connections. A chiller is not included.
