Speidel FD-2.5B-ZKG 1200L – conical pressure tank for 2.5 bar
The Speidel FD-2.5B-ZKG is a 1,200-litre conical pressure tank in stainless steel for fermenting and maturing larger batches of beer. It is rated for up to 2.5 bar and has a double cooling jacket on the cylinder, so even bottom-fermented beers can be fermented and matured outside a cold room. The special 3D inner surface makes the tank easier to clean.

Can I ferment lagers without a cold room?
Yes. The tank has a double cooling jacket on the cylinder, and with coolant from an external chiller, bottom-fermented beers can be fermented and matured outside a cold room.
What is the difference between the FD-1.2B and FD-2.5B?
Both hold 1,200 litres. The FD-1.2B is rated for up to 1.2 bar, while the FD-2.5B handles up to 2.5 bar and has a curved top with pressure dome NW 400.
How is the pressure in the tank controlled?
The tank has a T-piece with CO2 valve and a bung pressure regulator (Pico) G3/4". The safety valve prevents the pressure from exceeding the working pressure of the tank.
