Description
Splitter for filling PolyKeg – CO2 back pressure without swapping hoses
Splitter with shut-off valves that mounts on the outlet of the KeyKeg Manual Filling Head (the standard version with an air outlet only). It lets you fill PolyKegs with a K-valve and add CO2 back pressure between keg and bag after filling, without attaching and detaching the CO2 hose for every keg. One outlet releases air during filling, the other adds CO2 back pressure.
Why back pressure in a PolyKeg
When filling a PolyKeg, a back pressure of up to 0.5 bar between keg and bag after filling is recommended. This gives two advantages:
- Constant pressure on the bag stops CO2 leaving the beer, which otherwise happens with higher temperature or agitation and causes foaming and partial oxidation.
- You avoid drops of beer between bag and keg after filling. If it does happen, the bag is not damaged, but it does not look good.
Technical data
- The shut-off valves have 3/8" push-fit connectors for hose with 3/8" outer diameter
- Fits: KeyKeg Manual Filling Head, standard version with air outlet only
- For: PolyKeg with K-valve
