Cider Starter Kit – complete starter pack for cider from an extract kit
The Cider Starter Kit is a complete starter kit for making your own apple cider at home. It is designed for beginners and includes equipment, sanitizer and a cider extract kit, so you can brew up to 23 litres of cider on the kitchen counter. All you need in addition is bottles, which you can buy separately or reuse.
The extract kit consists of Craft Series Apple Cider and Mangrove Jack's Cider Enhancer. Together they make a fresh, balanced cider with a natural apple flavour. The yeast is included with the extract kit.

How to brew cider from an extract kit
Sanitize the fermenter and equipment, mix the extract and Cider Enhancer with water according to the instructions, measure the OG with the hydrometer and add the yeast. Let the cider ferment for at least two weeks and check that fermentation has finished before bottling. With one carbonation drop per bottle, carbonation takes at least two weeks.
The equipment can be reused. Once you have brewed cider, you can use the same equipment for a Fresh Wort Kit.

What do I need in addition to the starter kit?
Just bottles. For 23 litres of cider you need, for example, about 46 bottles of 0.5 litres. You can buy bottles separately or reuse bottles you already have.
How much cider does the kit make?
The kit makes up to 23 litres of cider.
How long does it take before the cider is ready?
Let the cider ferment for at least two weeks and check with the hydrometer that fermentation has finished. After bottling, carbonation needs at least another two weeks.
Why is Cider Enhancer included?
Cider kits are brewed with sugar or Cider Enhancer, not malt extract. Cider Enhancer is included, so you don't need to buy sugar.
Can I use the equipment for beer?
Yes. The fermenter, airlock, tap and hydrometer are also suitable for brewing beer with a Fresh Wort Kit or an extract kit.
