Staze is a 100% natural product derived from renewable plant materials, developed for use during beer maturation to create a natural and stable haze effect. This makes it ideal for beer styles like New England IPA, where sustained haze and freshness are desired.
The product contains hydrolysable gallotannins from tree leaves and galls, which form a permanent haze through interaction with yeast and haze-sensitive proteins. Staze also acts as an antioxidant and metal chelator, helping to protect the beer's freshness by preventing undesirable flavor changes and oxidative processes.

Dosage and use:
- Recommended dosage: 3–6 g/hl
- Add as a solution when transferring from fermentation to maturation, or directly via the bottom of the unitank with CO₂ sparging
- Do not add during boil or before whirlpool
- Must always be used as a dissolved solution: 1 kg Staze mixed in 10 liters of water (40–60 °C)
- Overdosing can lead to flocculation and clearer beer
NB: Do not use with protease or tannase enzymes, as this may reduce the effect of Staze.
