Dextrose monohydrate, also known as glucose or grape sugar, is produced by enzymatic hydrolysis of starch, followed by purification, concentration, crystallisation and drying. It is a white, crystalline powder with a fresh, sweet taste and neutral odour. Dextrose is easy to dose and often more economical than regular sugar. The 25 kg sack suits breweries and others who use larger quantities.
