Super-Kleer K.C. – two-stage fining agent with kieselsol and chitosan
Super-Kleer K.C. is a two-part fining agent for hard seltzer, wine and beer. The kit contains two pre-mixed pouches, kieselsol and chitosan, 65 ml in total. The two agents have opposite electrical charges. When added one after the other, yeast and particles clump together and settle faster.
Super-Kleer is widely used in wine kits, grape and fruit wines and hard seltzer, and usually clears within 12–48 hours.
How to use Super-Kleer K.C.
- Add the kieselsol to 19–23 litres of hard seltzer or wine and stir gently.
- Wait 1–24 hours. Then dissolve the chitosan in 30 ml of warm water.
- Add the chitosan mixture to the fermenter and stir gently.
- Refit the airlock. The drink clears in 12–48 hours.
