The kit makes 20 litres of fresh, easy-drinking, high-quality pilsner. You pour the wort into the fermenter and add the yeast that comes with it. No water should be added.

Match Pilsen comes as a Fresh Wort Kit with 20 litres of ready-brewed, water-adjusted wort produced by Amundsen Bryggeri. The wort has been mashed, boiled and hopped by professional brewers. You pour the wort into a fermenter, add the included yeast and let fermentation do the rest. Within minutes, fermentation is under way.
Flavour and aroma
Match Pilsen is brewed with classic pilsner malt and hopped with Saaz, the traditional Czech lager hop. Together with LalBrew NovaLager from Lallemand, this gives a pale, clean and easy-drinking pilsner with balanced bitterness and a crisp finish.

Yes. Match Pilsen contains the same ready-brewed, water-adjusted wort from Amundsen Bryggeri that was sold as VM Pils. Only the name and the label are new.
Do I need to add water to the wort?
No, water should never be added. The kit contains 20 litres of ready-brewed, water-adjusted wort. You pour the wort into the fermenter and add the yeast that comes with it.
Do I need a fridge to ferment a pilsner?
No. LalBrew NovaLager is a lager yeast that ferments cleanly at higher temperatures than traditional lager yeast. The recommendation for this kit is 14 days at 18 °C, and a stable temperature gives the best result.
How strong will the beer be?
With an OG of 1.045 and an FG of around 1.008, the beer ends up at about 4.9% ABV. Bitterness is 8.1 IBU and colour is 6 EBC.
How much beer does one kit make?
20 litres of wort is roughly 60 bottles of 0.33 L or 40 bottles of 0.5 L.
