GrowlerWerks makes the uKeg, a pressurised growler in vacuum-insulated stainless steel with a built-in CO2 regulator, pressure gauge and tap. How the uKeg works
A uKeg keeps beer cold and carbonated for weeks after filling. The cap has a VPR regulator where you choose the carbonation level from zero up to 15 psi, and the CO2 cartridge holds the pressure while you pour. The gauge shows the pressure inside the growler, and the tap lets you serve straight from it. The uKeg uses unthreaded CO2 cartridges.

uKeg Pro 128 (3.8 litres) – stainless or copper-plated, double-walled and vacuum-insulated.
uKeg Twist seltzer maker – 7 dl (Twist 24) and 10.6 dl (Twist 36) for homemade seltzer and sparkling water. Uses an 8 g CO2 cartridge.
Nitro – the uKeg Nitro Refill Kit, 16 g N2O cartridges and brew bags for nitro cold brew coffee.

How long does beer stay fresh in a uKeg?
The uKeg is designed to keep beer fresh and carbonated for weeks, because the CO2 system maintains the pressure as you pour.
Which CO2 cartridges fit a uKeg?
The uKeg uses unthreaded CO2 cartridges. The uKeg Twist uses 8 g cartridges. Cartridge sleeves are sold for both 8 g and 16 g.
How do I clean a uKeg?
We recommend Sirafan Speed for sanitising. Avoid acid-based sanitisers such as Star San, which can corrode the brass parts. The maintenance kit contains a cleaning brush, cleaning tablets, silicone grease and new O-rings.
Can I fill a uKeg with a counter-pressure filler?
Yes. The Tapcooler counter-pressure filler can fill a uKeg using a rubber stopper with a 9 mm hole that fits the 53 mm opening.
Can I use nitro in a uKeg?
The nitro (N2O) cartridges are only intended for nitro cold brew coffee and cream whippers. They have an 18-year age limit, a maximum of two packs per order, and ship only within Norway.
