John Guest is a British manufacturer of push-fit fittings that connect to the tubing without tools, clamps or sealant. Here you will find the full John Guest range at Brewshop: fittings in 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2", shut-off valves, a check valve, adaptors to BSP, NPTF and FFL threads, LLDPE tubing and tools.
How to choose the right John Guest fitting
Size: The fittings are sized by the outside diameter of the tubing in inches. 3/8" is common for beer and 5/16" for CO2.
Shape: straight connectors, reducers, elbows, tees, Y-splitters and plugs for building your line.
Threads: adaptors to F 5/8" BSP for taps and shanks, 1/4" FFL for ball lock, and NPTF and BSP.
Shut-off and locking: shut-off valves, a check valve and locking clips.
Cut the tubing square and push it into the fitting until it stops. To release it, push the collet in towards the fitting and pull the tubing out. If the line is under pressure, release the pressure first.
Which tubing fits a 3/8" John Guest fitting?
Tubing with a 3/8" outside diameter, for example 3/8" LLDPE tubing with a 1/4" inside diameter. The fitting size refers to the outside diameter of the tubing, not the inside.
Is John Guest compatible with DMfit?
Yes, in the same inch sizes. The DMfit spare collets also fit John Guest fittings.
Where are John Guest fittings made?
John Guest fittings are manufactured and assembled in the United Kingdom.
