Description
Analogue thermometer +50 to +100 °C – keep track of mash temperature
Analogue probe thermometer from Alla France with a scale from +50 to +100 °C and +120 to +210 °F. The probe is 200 mm long and 4 mm thick, and the dial is 45 mm in diameter with coloured zones. The clip lets you fasten the thermometer to the kettle and follow the temperature hands-free.
The temperature sensor on budget brewing systems is not always accurate, so a separate thermometer is useful for checking the mash temperature. The thermometer can be calibrated with a screw.

Frequently asked questions about the analogue thermometer +50 to +100 °C
What mash temperature should I use?
A typical mash temperature is 63–68 °C. Lower temperatures give a drier beer, higher temperatures a sweeter and fuller beer.
How do I calibrate the thermometer?
Place the probe in boiling water, which is approx. 100 °C at sea level, and adjust the needle with the calibration screw.
Can I use it to measure fermentation temperature?
No. The scale starts at 50 °C, so the thermometer is for mashing, sparging and boiling, not fermentation.
