Description
Austmann Northie all-grain beer kit – northern English brown ale
In cooperation with Austmann Brewery in Trondheim, we have created an all-grain beer kit for homebrewers who want to brew Northie, Austmann's northern English brown ale. The kit is for brewers who mash and boil themselves, for example in a brewing system, and makes approx. 23 litres of finished beer.

Frequently asked questions about the Austmann Northie all-grain beer kit
How much beer does the kit make?
The kit makes approx. 23 litres of finished beer, with 25 litres of wort into the fermenter.
Which yeast is included, and how is the beer fermented?
The kit includes 2 sachets of US-05 dry yeast. The beer is fermented for 10–14 days at 20 °C.
Why is the malt unmilled?
Milled malt starts to lose flavour and aroma. Unmilled malt keeps better, and freshly milled malt gives the best result.
What else do I need to buy?
Priming sugar or carbonation drops, and optionally finings and yeast nutrient. You also need equipment for mashing, boiling and fermenting.
