The very popular Kjerringøy is a fresh, fruity, and incredibly good pale ale from Bådin Brewery in Bodø. The beer is normally gluten-free when Bådin brews it themselves, which you as a homebrewer can also achieve by adding Clarity Ferm (not included in the beer kit).

Description

Bådin Kjerringøy Pale Ale All-Grain Beer Kit

In collaboration with the Bådin brewery in Bodø, we offer homebrewers the opportunity to brew their popular pale ale Kjerringøy. This is originally a gluten-free pale ale. You can also brew gluten-free yourself, and if so, only need to add WLE 4000 Clarity Ferm at the same time as the yeast (not included in the beer kit).

The beer has a taste and aroma character of tropical fruits, and is fresh and easy-drinking. The beer is well-balanced and food-friendly, and is just as suitable when the sun is shining outside as on a grey autumn evening.

Serve at roughly the same temperature as a nude swim in the Mistfjord (5-7ºC).

Bådin - Craft from the Arctic

Bådin Bryggeri was founded in 2012 by an eclectic group of entrepreneurs including an engineer, a doctor, a librarian, a designer, and an economist. The brewery has since been a pioneer in Arctic craft beer.

With a strong focus on innovation and tradition, Bådin has built up a large portfolio of beers that receive praise both at home and abroad. One of the most important success criteria has always been to experiment with new styles and flavors - which has resulted in new beers being launched every month, which in turn is an important contribution to keeping the brewery's portfolio varied and always relevant.

Sugar for carbonation, fining agent, and any yeast nutrient are not included in the kits.

Our customers deserve to brew with fresh malt. Therefore, we never pre-crush the malt in our beer kits but offer crushing as an option when ordering. This means a lot of extra work for us every morning, but the most important thing is that you get the best possible beer when you brew with freshly crushed malt.
