Bohemian Pilsner from Weyermann – Czech pilsner malt by weight
Bohemian Pilsner from Weyermann is a pale pilsner malt made from Bohemian malting barley of the varieties Bojos and Malz. It gives a nutty, malty-sweet aroma and is the basis for an authentic Czech pilsner with solid malt character. The malt has high enzymatic activity and can be used for up to 100% of the grist.

Suitable for
Weyermann recommends the malt for Czech pale lager, Bohemian pilsner, Czech amber and dark lager, Bohemian bock, pale ale, saison, strong ale, wheat beer, wheat wine and gose, among others.
How to order
This item is sold per 100 g. Choose the quantity you need, for example 5 for 500 g or 30 for 3 kg, and choose whole or crushed. If you want a ready-mixed malt blend for a recipe, order each malt in whole 100 g and write the blend in the comment field at checkout, for example "Malt blend: 5.4 kg pale ale malt, 270 g Cara Blond".

Can Bohemian Pilsner be the only malt in the beer?
Yes. Weyermann states that the malt can be used for up to 100% of the grist. It has high enzymatic activity and works well as the only base malt in a Czech pilsner.
What colour does the malt give?
The malt has a colour of 3–5 EBC and gives a pale beer. It suits classic pale pilsners and lagers.
Should I choose whole or crushed malt?
Malt starts to lose aroma once it is crushed. Brewshop stores the malt whole and only crushes it when you choose crushed malt in your order. If you have your own grain mill, buy whole malt and crush it right before brewing.
Is the malt available in a larger pack?
Yes, Bohemian Pilsner is also available in a 25 kg sack. If you prefer to brew from a ready recipe, Bohemian Pilsner is available as an all-grain beer kit.
