Bonsak American Amber All-Grain Beer Kit

In collaboration with Bonsak Gårdsmalteri, we present American Amber. This is a truly fantastic beer that is especially well-suited for all kinds of food, but perhaps best for grilling large, juicy cuts of meat, such as ribeye with plenty of marbled fat.

The beer is brewed with premium Fairytale Ale from Bonsak Gårdsmalteri, Caraamber from Weyermann which contributes a deep red color and notes of toffee and caramel, and finally a little Triple Melano from Bonsak and dark chocolate malt. The Amber is generously hopped with Citra, providing a good bitterness and a fresh character of citrus and tropical fruits.

Bonsak Gårdsmalteri produces high-quality malt from barley grown on their own farm in Skogn, Trøndelag. Bonsak combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to offer a unique quality product with a local character. Through floor malting and the use of carefully selected barley varieties, aroma components are produced that open up entirely new taste experiences.

The recipe was developed by the ultimate Skamlaust Bryggeri, and very well received by a discerning test panel at Brewshop.

• Contents: Malted grain (5.5 kg), hops, yeast, and brewing instructions
• Yields approx. 22-23 liters (25 liters for fermentation)

• Fermentation: 14 days at 18-20°C

Yeast: 2 pcs US-05.

Sugar for carbonation, fining agent, and any yeast nutrient are not included in the kits.

For quality and shelf life, the malt is unmilled. If you don't already have one, we recommend investing in a grain mill to ensure 100% fresh ingredients for your brew day. Fresh home-milled malt is fantastic!
