With this cheese-making kit you can make your own brie at home. The kit contains the equipment and ingredients you need, including a brie culture and a recipe booklet. What do I need in addition to the kit?
Only milk. Ordinary semi-skimmed milk works fine. The other ingredients and equipment are included.
How much milk is the culture for?
The brie culture in the kit is sized for 10 litres of milk.
What are the rennet and calcium chloride for?
Rennet makes the milk coagulate so it separates into curds and whey. Calcium chloride helps shop-bought milk form a firmer curd.
