Brown Abbey Ale is an all-grain beer kit from Brewolution for brewers who mash and boil themselves. The beer is distinctive, with a rich, sweet malt flavour and a note of charred oak. The kit makes 23–25 litres and contains all the malt, hops and yeast you need.

Unmilled malt
For quality and shelf life, the malt is unmilled. Milled malt starts to lose flavour and aroma. If you do not already have a malt mill, we recommend getting one so you can mill the malt fresh on brew day.

The kit makes 23–25 litres of beer at about 6.2% ABV, based on OG 1.062 and FG 1.015.
What equipment do I need?
An all-grain kit is for brewing from scratch, with a brewing system or kettle where you mash, sparge and boil the wort. You also need a fermenter, a malt mill and bottles or a keg.
How long and at what temperature should it ferment?
The beer ferments for about 14 days at 18–22 °C. Fermentation is finished when the hydrometer shows the same reading two to three days in a row.
Is priming sugar included?
No. Sugar or carbonation drops for bottling are sold separately.
