Description

Light brown sugar (Cassonade Light) 25 kg – Belgian brown sugar for brewing

Cassonade Light is a light Belgian brown sugar made from a mixture of sugar crystals and candi syrup. The sugar is produced by Belgosuc in Belgium from sugar beet and sold through Castle Malting. The 25 kg bag is intended for breweries and others with high consumption.

Please note: The professional range is only available in Norway.

In brewing, brown sugar is often used in Belgian beer styles. The sugar ferments out and raises the alcohol content without adding body, and it can contribute light caramel and molasses notes.
