Hop Dropper - Oxygen-Free Dry Hopping
A hop dropper is a clever solution for adding hops and other ingredients to the fermentation tank without exposing the contents to oxygen. It comes with an adapter from 3" to 1.5" tri-clamp, making it suitable for tanks with both 3" and 1.5" tri-clamp connections.
A robust 3" sight glass allows you to see the contents when adding, and holds approx. 0.44L. Perfect for up to 200g of hops at a time. If you want to add more, simply repeat the process.
How to use the Hop Dropper:
- Open the lid and add hops. Replace the lid.
- Connect CO2, and apply pressure while purging by opening the safety valve. The sight glass will then fill with CO2 instead of O2.
- Finally, just open the butterfly valve, and the hops will be added to the tank without exposing the contents to oxygen.
