Hop Shot is a syringe containing 10 ml of CO2 hop extract from Yakima Valley Hops. CO2 extract is a clean and efficient way to bitter your beer, without hop debris in the kettle. The extract is made up of 60% Columbus (or other CTZ) for bittering and 40% blended aroma varieties. It is highly concentrated: this lot has 51.9% alpha acid.

How to use Hop Shot
1 ml gives approx. 10 IBU in 5 gallons (approx. 19 litres) of wort at SG 1.050 when boiled for 60 minutes. The full 10 ml syringe therefore gives approx. 100 IBU in the same volume. Adjust the amount to your batch size and desired bitterness.
Tip: CO2 Extract is available in the Brewfather app. Adjust the alpha acid in Brewfather to the actual alpha acid of the extract.
