Food grade mineral oil is the best oil to keep your mill running smoothly. This oil is safe for food contact. If you are afraid of it getting into your grain, you are using way too much. Can also be used to preserve your rollers if you plan to store the mill for an extended period. One drop on each axle, and one drop on the OD of each knob is all you need.
