Monster Mill MM3-Pro HT Malt Mill

The Monster Mill MM3-Pro kit consists of the MM3-Pro HT malt mill, base, hopper, gap feeler gauge, and oil.

The Monster Mill MM3-Pro HT is the largest of the three-roller malt mills from Monster Brewing Hardware. This is a massive upgrade to the MM-3 and is designed to compete with the very best malt mills on the market.

The Pro model features upgraded 2" (5.1cm) diameter rollers made of heat-treated, hardened steel, and a 1/2" drive shaft as standard. A superior steel quality (1144 alloy) is used, which is much harder than what is found on most comparable products, and the rollers are then induction hardened so they will last 10X as long as comparable products made of regular steel/stainless steel. The drive shaft and all shafts are integrated with the roller instead of screwed into the ends. This makes it easy to run the mill clockwise or counter-clockwise.

The MM3-Pro HT should be powered by an electric drill with some power, and it crushes the grain twice in one pass through the mill. Through the first two rollers, the grain is lightly flattened and prepared before crushing between the drive roller and the third, lower roller. The starch is released while keeping the husk as intact as possible. The rollers are continuously adjustable to the desired grind size.
