Oxyturbo Mignon – oxygen regulator for disposable cylinders
The Oxyturbo Mignon is a regulator for Oxyturbo disposable oxygen cylinders. Use it to oxygenate wort before pitching the yeast. Oxygen helps the yeast to a fast and complete fermentation with fewer off-flavours, and it matters most for high OG beers, lagers and large batches.
The nipple on the regulator has a diameter of 4.2 mm.
What you need for a complete system
- Oxygen regulator
- Oxygenation stone, 0.5 micron
- 3/16" OD LLDPE tubing
- 3/8" OD LLDPE tubing
- John Guest fitting 3/16" – 3/8"
- Sterile filter
- Disposable oxygen cylinder
Frequently asked questions about the Oxyturbo Mignon
When should wort be oxygenated?
Only before pitching the yeast. Oxygen should never be added after fermentation has started.
Why is a sterile filter needed?
The filter stops bacteria and particles from following the gas into the chilled wort.
Can I measure how much oxygen I add?
If you want to set the gas flow in litres per minute, the Oxyturbo Minor O2 with flowmeter is available.
