Description

Sabro hop pellets 5 kg – coconut and tropical fruit

Sabro hop pellets in a 5 kg pack. The pack suits breweries and others brewing large volumes.

Please note: This product is only available in Norway.

Sabro stands out with an aroma where coconut and creamy tropical fruit take centre stage, along with notes of tangerine, lime, stone fruit and hints of herbs and cedar. The result is a hop with both depth and breadth, and a character that comes through clearly in the finished beer.

Sabro is high in myrcene and esters, giving a juicy, almost sweet and exotic aroma, but also an underlying complexity that makes it interesting in more than just IPA and pale ale. It works well both on its own and with other modern aroma and whirlpool hops. It is at its best in juicy and hazy styles where the aroma takes the lead, but can also be used more sparingly to add a layer of depth to lighter Belgian or experimental beers.

Sabro (HBC 438) was released in 2018 by the Hop Breeding Company after two decades of development. It was bred from wild New Mexican hops (neomexicanus).
