SafAle K-97 500 g – German ale yeast for Kölsch and wheat beer
SafAle K-97 from Fermentis is a German ale yeast for delicate beers such as Kölsch, Belgian wit, session beers and heavily hopped beers. It gives a subtle fermentation character with floral, balanced fruitiness, and forms a large, firm head during fermentation. The 500 g pack suits breweries and large batches.

How to use the yeast
Sprinkle the yeast into at least 10 times its own weight of sterile water or boiled and hopped wort at 25–29 °C. Leave for 15–30 minutes, stir gently and pitch the cream into the fermenter. The yeast can also be sprinkled directly onto the wort. Reseal an opened pack, store it at 4 °C and use it within 7 days.
