Complete Fermentation Kit

With the MAXI Kit for Fermenting Vegetables, you can safely and easily ferment vegetables at home. The kit includes a 1.7L fermentation jar, a spring with a press, a self-adhesive thermometer, a compact mini airlock with gasket, pH indicator strips, a press, and detailed instructions.

Fermentation preserves nutrients, promotes beneficial lactic acid bacteria, and gives vegetables a unique, rich flavor. With this kit, you can make everything from classic fermented vegetables to exciting flavor variations.

Three simple recipes for fermentation:

Homemade Sauerkraut

  • Shred 1 kg white cabbage and mix with 20g salt.
  • Press the cabbage down into the jar, add the weight, and let it ferment for 1–2 weeks at room temperature.

Kimchi with Korean Chili

  • Cut 1 kg napa cabbage and mix with 30g salt. Let stand for 2 hours.
  • Rinse, mix with 3 tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes), 3 cloves garlic, 1 tbsp ginger, and 1 tbsp fish sauce.
  • Pack tightly into the jar and ferment for 5–7 days.

Fermented Carrots with Ginger

  • Cut 500g carrots into sticks and place in the jar.
  • Add 1 tsp grated ginger and 10g salt dissolved in 5 dl water.
  • Let ferment for 5–7 days until the taste is perfect.
