Description

Lucky Goat Pale Ale extract kit 1.8 kg – Mangrove Jack's Traditional Series

Lucky Goat gives you about 23 litres of pale ale with a pleasant malt aroma and soft, fruity undertones. The malt sweetness has a hint of vanilla and is balanced by hop bitterness and a clean finish. The extract kits in Mangrove Jack's Traditional Series contain liquid malt extract, dry yeast and in some cases dry hops. Sugar for carbonation is not included.

To brew Lucky Goat you also need 1.2 kg liquid malt extract to reach the right alcohol content. Malt extract gives the beer better flavour, body and mouthfeel than sugar or dextrose.

Frequently asked questions about the Lucky Goat extract kit

What do I need in addition to the kit?

1.2 kg light liquid malt extract, sugar or carbonation drops for carbonation, and standard brewing equipment such as a fermenter, airlock, hydrometer and sanitizer.

Is yeast included?

Yes, dry yeast is included in the kit.

How much beer does it make, and how strong is it?

About 23 litres of pale ale with 4.4 % alcohol and 36–46 IBU.

What is the difference between an extract kit and a Fresh Wort Kit?

An extract kit is hopped malt extract that you mix with water. A Fresh Wort Kit is ready-brewed wort from a brewery, which you simply pour into the fermenter together with the yeast. The beer turns out much better with a Fresh Wort Kit, so if you are considering an extract kit, try a Fresh Wort Kit instead.
