1.2kg of liquid malt extract increases the alcohol percentage by approx. 1.5% in a 23L brew.
Malt extract can be used to brew all types of extract beer, and for all-grain brewers to:
- adjust specific gravity, the strength of the wort
- improve body/fullness and head retention
- make yeast starters: 130g per 1 liter gives a wort gravity of 1.038.
1 kg of malt extract per 10 liters gives a wort gravity of approx. 1.030.
