Yield Increase Disc BM10 – more grain in the Braumeister 10L malt pipe
The Yield Increase Disc from BacBrewing is a stainless steel filter plate that replaces the upper filter plate in the malt pipe of the Speidel Braumeister 10L. The plate makes better use of the malt pipe, so you can use more grain per brew. According to BacBrewing, grain capacity increases by 23 % and yield by up to 20 %.
BacBrewing tested the plate on a Braumeister 50L. There, 16 kg of grain was used, compared with the standard malt pipe capacity of 13 kg, which is 23 % more. The pre-boil result is shown in the table below.

Does it fit other Braumeister sizes?
No. This plate is for the Braumeister 10L. There is a separate Yield Increase Disc for the Braumeister 50L.
What does the table show?
The table is from a test on a Braumeister 50L brewing an American IPA: 62 litres of mash water, 16 kg of grain and 13 litres of sparge water gave 60 litres of wort at OG 1.061 and 76 % efficiency before the boil.
