Description

Ægir India Pale Ale all-grain beer kit – the brewery’s flagship

Together with Ægir Bryggeri in Flåm we have created an all-grain kit for homebrewers who want to brew Ægir India Pale Ale. The beer is Ægir Bryggeri’s flagship. It was developed by head brewer Evan Lewis while brewing was still a hobby and has been refined over many years.

The kit is for brewers who brew from scratch with a brewing system, mashing and boiling themselves.

Balanced bitterness and rich hop notes of pine needles and citrus.

Frequently asked questions about Ægir India Pale Ale all-grain beer kit

How strong is the IPA?

With OG 1.067 and FG 1.017 the beer is approx. 6.5% ABV. Bitterness is 46.7 IBU and the colour 21.4 EBC.

Why are there two packs of yeast?

How much wort should I collect?

The recipe is based on 28 litres pre-boil and approx. 25 litres into the fermenter. This gives 21–22 litres of finished beer.
