Description

Ægir Ratatosk all-grain beer kit

In collaboration with Ægir Brewery in Flåm, we have created an all-grain kit for homebrewers who want to brew the Double IPA Ratatosk. No expense has been spared on either malt or tropical hops (approx. 300g)!

Due to the high malt content in this powerful Double IPA, the recipe has been scaled down from the normal 28-29 liters to 26 liters. This allows homebrewers to brew it on systems like the Grainfather without the need for a double mash.

  • Contents: Malted grain (8.94 kg), hops, yeast, and brewing instructions
  • Yields approximately 19 liters (26 liters pre-boil, approximately 23 liters for fermentation)
  • OG: 1.098
  • FG: 1.031

  • Fermentation: 10-14 days at 21°C
  • Yeast: 2 x US-05 dry

Sugar for carbonation, fining agents, and any yeast nutrient are not included in the kits.

For quality and shelf life, the malt is unmilled. If you don't already have one, we recommend investing in a grain mill to ensure 100% fresh ingredients for your brew day. Fresh home-milled malt is fantastic!
